Within the formulated fabric of American cities, stagnated sites are common products of urban planning with podium buildings. The idea of a civic space grows oblivious as architecture becomes increasingly self-contained within its given zone. The proposed building replaces a stagnated parking lot with a courtyard building providing two entrances on each side. Specifically, the project implements a gradient of theatrical program, ranging from a transformative courtyard, a glass-box rehearsal room, a semi-open lecture hall, and a black-box theatre.
